Introducing one of our newest board members

Updated: 4 hours ago

We are excited to announce one of the newest members of our board, Chris Hopper.

Chris currently serves as Director of Business Development for WJ Holdings.

He brings a diverse set of skills and experience to the HOPE team. With over 20 years of experience as a student and missions pastor, Chris Hopper has dedicated his career to impacting local and global communities through a dual commitment to spiritual leadership and strategic business development. His extensive background in the missions field provides a unique foundation for his current work, where he dovetails the Good News of Christ with market-based initiatives to foster leadership and community growth.

A seasoned advocate for family values, Chris has successfully navigated the political landscape to influence pro-family legislation, ensuring that community development is rooted in integrity and service. Today, he works alongside a mission-focused team to create spaces where families can flourish, viewing every professional venture as an opportunity to expand his calling of faith-based service.

Celebrating 21 years of marriage with his wife, Ashleigh, Chris continues to lead with a heart for adventure as they raise their three sons in Parker County, Texas, blending a legacy of ministry with a vision for sustainable, values-driven development.

Chris serves on the Board of Directors for Hope Literacy because he believes in the transformative power of language as a vehicle for lasting Kingdom impact. "I am dedicated to Hope Literacy’s vision of sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ through practical education. Whether through local initiatives in the DFW region or broader global efforts, we believe that literacy is a vital bridge that fosters connection, empowers families, and creates a meaningful, long-term impact on the world for the glory of God."
