Citizenship & Civics
A list of resources for citizenship, civics, and immigration

The USCIS website is the definitive resource and first stop for citizenship information. You can find lesson resources and information how to apply for citizenship.
The ECHO Project seeks to go beyond traditional training and gathers working groups of professionals in the same field. Connect with other citizenship teachers, experts, and stay up to date with changes in legislation. ECHO for Citizenship teachers meets every second Wednesday of the month.
Created by HOPE Literacy's very own board member Russell Chun, Interlinkt guides new immigrants or those helping them through 15 major tasks that all newcomers must complete in their new homeland. Also available in mobile app form. https://www.interlinkt.org/
Citizenship Curricula

-
Voices of Freedom by Pearson. For beginning ESL students.

Application Preparation & Immigration Legal Services
Even native speakers unfamiliar with the naturalization process may find themselves with questions about how to fill out the N400 application for citizenship, and teachers should avoid unknowingly and unlawfully practicing immigration law. Even some lawyers are not officially certified with the USCIS, and applicants may end up paying high fees unnecessarily. Applications should be processed through a center officially endorsed by the USCIS. The organizations below offer immigration legal services.
