In July, Dr. Walid (Wes) Saade announced his resignation from the HOPE Literacy Board of Directors after 10 years of faithful service. His leadership and wisdom will be greatly missed.
Dr. Saade joined the HOPE Literacy Board in 2015 when HOPE had only seven ESL sites. Now, ten years later, and in part thanks to Wes's leadership and the grace of God, HOPE now has twenty sites including programs in Dallas County, Colorado, and internationally in Nicaragua. Wes played a key role in formalizing organizational structure and board procedures. He served as secretary, eventually becoming Board Chair.
Wes is a husband to Joanne and father to three beautiful children. A native of Lebanon, he spent much of his formation in the United States, eventually became a medical doctor. He and his brothers are cofounders of TotalCare Clinics and TotalCare Foundation. He loves the Lord, serves faithfully at his church, Arabic Christian Fellowship, and recently became ordained as a minister.
Wes is passionate about leadership and mentorship, passions which have shaped HOPE Literacy's identity and mission. He is a leadership coach and author of the book, Healthy Leadership You can learn more about his mentorship program for leaders at WesMD.com.
HOPE Literacy thanks Wes for ten years of investment in our ministry.
